Any one out there having issues reading mode 6 data from there maxisys? I just got my maxis I love it except for that. The mode 6 data makes no sense and is confusing. I have made a complaint and support agrees that there is a problem with the software but no estimated time for a fix. Anyone else had issues?
    Thanks Joe

Mode 6 is an advance diagnostic mode that displays the unfiltered test results for all
non continous monitor, which include the evap, egr, catalytic ,o2 etc.
Mode 6 is a very usefull for diagnosing faults when there is no trouble codes set by
thecomputer and there is an obvious driveability problem, it could also be used to spot
future problems that may soon set a code, in other words you can forsee the future,
you can use it to verify repairs by making sure all the monitored syastem are passing
    the obd2 diagnostic self checks.

I was introduced to mode6 in 1996 when obd2 becamed standard. But honestly I have
hardly ever used it specially after can communication was introduced around 2004.
But it is a very important feature once learned correctly it will make you a better
technician and increase productivity. Also avoid come backs.

Yes joe mode6 does need a lot of improvement, this is different from vehicle to vehicle
so it may take a while.

Mode 6 has been kind of sad. To my surprise I used it on a 07 mustang yesterday and
had good coverage in mode 6. Misfire moniters were there with definitions so might try
    using this on fords again.

Yes you are exactly right. Was recently told by tech support that mode 6 is only
availiable on 2005 model years and up. That is information that would be nice to know
before I attempted to use mode 6 on a 2002 Camry.
